The History of our San Diego Golf Courses
Our golf club is comprised of 36 holes of Championship golf (Oak Glen and Willow Glen) located in Dehesa Valley, just 30 minutes from the San Diego airport.
The original architect for the courses was founder Cecil Hollingsworth. Due to severe flooding, the golf course was later redesigned by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson, Sr. Robinson added elevation changes from tee boxes, green approaches, and tiers to several of the green complexes to demand that golfers skillfully manage their approaches. Lakes were added to demand more challenging golf shots, and bunkers were redesigned to aid in the aesthetics of the green complexes.
Today, Singing Hills Golf Club is proud to host the Junior World Golf Championships, numerous SCGA and USGA Championship qualifiers, the San Diego Junior Amateur, the annual PGA Chapter Shootout, numerous local charity events, and has been the host golf course for events such as the US Junior Amateur.
